It’s time to begin a new journey…

For those of you who aren’t familiar with me, My name is Brandon Marsh and I am a commercial photographer and business mentor specializing in Architecture, Interiors, Food, Product, and Lifestyle advertising. After 7+ years of photographing for a wide variety of brands, some small and some large, I have decided to step into the role of sharing what I have learned with newcomers and seasoned professionals.

When I started photography, I found it quite challenging to find quality educational content in the commercial world unless you were looking for just on-set production and post-production processes. The photography community felt very standoff-ish and I personally struggled to gain opportunities to assist other photographers to learn. When I finally did get an opportunity to connect with another photographer who had been in business for 10+ years, they always seemed to be quite bitter, and continuously complained about how “The industry is dead”, “New photographers are ruining the industry”, “There is no work or opportunities”, “You should consider finding a more stable career path” and in general, the advice I was looking for was held to secrecy. 

It was tough, and there was so much to learn and few people to provide any guidance. But, I am the type of person to ignore all the negativity in the industry and truly believed that there was hope and a career in photography… In the end, I am glad I went with my gut because the industry is far from dead. It is simply changing, the dinosaurs can’t keep up and aren’t willing to adapt to the times we are living in. This is creating more opportunities every day, you just have to have your eyes open to see them. 

So after 7 years of a lot of trial and error, digging as deep as I could to learn as many industry secrets as possible. I decided it was time for me to give back, and rather than being the photographer deterring people from entering the industry, I want to encourage you all to take the leap and work towards your dream of becoming a commercial photographer. That said, the best dreams are never easy, there will be a lot of work and I don’t want you to have to do it on your own as I did for many years. 

I still have lots to learn, I won’t pretend like I am the ultimate guru of our industry but, I can help some of you fast track, avoid unnecessary mistakes, and invest your time and money in the places most worth it.

If I can make 17k+ in one shoot during the peak of a global pandemic, someone else can too! It is possible to do this regularly.
